Dwight Saunders

Dwight was raised in Cook’s Harbour, Newfoundland and Labrador, and started fishing from the age of 12 before he went to university in Halifax. Prior to taking on the position as the sales manager of TriNav Marine Brokerage, he worked as a customer service officer with RBC. Dwight began his time at TriNav helping with the distribution of The Navigator Magazine before his life of experience in the fishing industry led him to a job offer with the brokerage in 1998. Dwight uses his 25 years of brokerage experience to give his clients honest, accurate and trustworthy opinions and evaluations in doing business from Atlantic Canada to as far as Norway and the Caribbean.

Dan Lake

Dan grew up in the offshore trawler port of Fortune, N.L., watching the vessels fish groundfish year-round. He later moved to St. John’s, where he worked with ASCO in the field of logistics for offshore oil companies, spending time understanding the requirements of the drilling rigs and the floating platforms removing oil for transportation to refineries. During this time, he was involved with the life extension of the FPSO Terra Nova to once again further his knowledge in his field as a Marine Broker. Dan is available to assist clients throughout Newfoundland and Labrador in all areas of the marine industry.

Chris Gould

Chris was born and raised in Anchor Point, Newfoundland and Labrador. From the summer after his grade 9 year onwards, Chris has always been fishing. He started fishing with his grandfather, then with his father and has owned his own fishing enterprise since 2021. Chris joined TriNav Marine Brokerage in 2023. Chris brings an understanding of being on both sides of the table as a broker and an enterprise owner to his new brokerage career and seeks to put himself in the shoes of his clients as he services all of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Cody Rodgers

Cody is from Old Perlican, Newfoundland and Labrador. All of his family on every side have been fishing for generations, and Cody is no exception. While he still fishes crab, cod and shrimp for part of the year, he spends the remainder of his time leveraging his fishing experience as TriNav Marine Brokerage’s newest broker. In his new position, Cody looks to work as hard as he does at sea as he does for his clients as he serves the Newfoundland region.

Curtis Snelgrove

Curtis comes from Grates Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador. Prior to becoming a broker, he spent 13 years working with an environmental engineering company as a team leader. Curtis also brings over 20 years of fishing experience with him, where he fished snow crab, cod, capelin, herring, lobster and squid. His need to keep himself busy, his love for business and his background in the marine industries brought him to TriNav Marine Brokerage, where he brings his knowledge of licenses and enterprises to ensure his clients achieve a fair value, whether they’re selling or buying.

Bob Gavel

Being a past fisherman born and raised in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Bob has over 35 years in sales and marketing, with over 19 of those years spent as a marine broker. In his role at TriNav Marine Brokerage, Bob uses his sales and marketing proficiency as well as his extensive network of customers and knowledge of the fishing industry to gather a wide array of selling and purchasing options for his clients in Atlantic Canada.

Stacey Lennox

Stacey grew up in Lower Argyle, Nova Scotia. He worked as a fisherman for 36 years, where he fished lobster, herring, snow crab and groundfish. Having built and sold five boats of his own, Stacey’s new career path at TriNav Marine Brokerage was a natural fit. His experience in the fishery as well as boatbuilding and sales gives Stacey an in-depth knowledge of the industry that he brings to the table when serving customers across Atlantic Canada and the eastern seaboard of the United States.

Dave Bishara

Dave is from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. He fished in his early years before joining the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, where he worked in special operations for 33 years. After the end of his time with DFO, Dave’s wife saw an employment opportunity online with TriNav Marine Brokerage that she thought would be a great fit for him, given his experience in fisheries and the connections he made from his previous career. Dave prides himself in looking out for his client’s interest above all else in his services across Atlantic Canada.

Walter Spinney

Walter is from Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia. He fished lobster and herring all of his life on top of owning and operating a boatyard. After he retired, Walter put his lifelong acumen for fishing and his in-depth knowledge of boats to work at TriNav Marine Brokerage. His 30-year boatbuilding and fishing history makes him a natural at assessing and brokering sales of boats, licenses and enterprises as a whole. Walter generally serves Nova Scotia from Digby to Lunenburg.

Victor Thibault

He started fish dragging, with his father, at a young age and fished many species such as, lobster, scallop, ground fish, snow crab, halibut, etc. With an extensive knowledge of the fishing industry, Victor feels confident he can facilitate in the sale and/or purchase of boats/licenses/quota in the Atlantic Canada region.

Anthony Druhan

Anthony was born and raised in Cape Breton and now lives in Lunenburg Country, Nova Scotia. Growing up, his family operated a recreational powerboat brokerage and dealership. While he helped his dad throughout his time in university, he departed from the business soon after graduation to work in construction project management and eventually ran his own construction company. After selling his company, Anthony decided to return to the brokerage business by joining TriNav Marine Brokerage. In dealing with his clientele, he brings his experience in construction estimation to the table. Anthony’s work experience makes writing contracts second nature, and his numbers spot on. Anthony mainly services Southern Nova Scotia.

Glen Aylward

Glen is from Covehead on the north shore of Prince Edward Island. He has lived in Shelburne County, Nova Scotia for the last forty years, owning and operating Aylward Fibreglass Incorporated. Glen is a certified Nova Scotia boat builder and has served four terms as Chairman of the Nova Scotia Boatbuilders Association. During those years, Glen has either modified or refinished many of the hull moulds in Southwest Nova Scotia. He has built both the “Kustom” and “Grizzly” hull moulds, which produced over 150 hulls. These hulls have been used here in Atlantic Canada, Québec and as far away as Tobago. With his 40 years of boatbuilding experience and contacts, Glen is looking forward to helping clients either buy or sell their next boat.

Richard Elliott

Richard is from Amherst, Nova Scotia and currently resides in Port Howe, Nova Scotia. Before joining TriNav Marine Brokerage, he spent 34 years in the packaging business with Ropak selling packaging to processors from the Gaspé Bay to New England. Not so happy with the prospect of retirement, Richard took on a job with TriNav in 2016. Richard’s 40 years of experience in sales have led him to an honest, helpful and client-first approach to his dealings as a broker as he serves Nova Scotia and New Brunswick

Amy Hayne

Amy is from Pictou County, Nova Scotia. She grew up in a fishing family and fished with her father before she pivoted to a career as a real estate agent in Alberta for 14 years. Seeking to get back to her roots, Amy returned home to Nova Scotia to work as a commercial fish harvester. In 2023, she combined her experience in real estate and fisheries in her new role at TriNav Marine Brokerage. In servicing anywhere from Atlantic Canada to as far as British Columbia, Amy’s unique combination of skills helps her clientele know they are in safe hands.

Travis Long

Travis is based out of Giant’s Lake, Nova Scotia. He grew up in the family business of Christmas trees before he started fishing at the age of 27. After his daughter was born, Travis began working in Cheticamp unloading crab and eventually ran the work site for 4 years. He began working with TriNav as a broker in 2021 alongside running his own Christmas tree farm, where he utilizes his experience in the fishing industry to service clients in the Cape Breton, Antigonish and Guysborough areas.

Boyd MacMaster

In his position as a longtime broker for TriNav Marine Brokerage, he leverages this experience to help clients with their specific needs across Atlantic Canada and beyond.

Edgar Duguay

Edgar is from Petite-Lamèque, New Brunswick. He worked for 14 years in sales with Ovatek Life Rafts. After six months of retirement, Edgar joined TriNav Marine Brokerage in 2008. Michel is from Caraquet, New Brunswick. He worked as a fisheries observer for six years, after which he worked as a fisherman for 10 years, as a second mate aboard a factory freezer trawler for 17 years and as a skipper on a workboat for Ocean Group and Irving until he joined TriNav Marine Brokerage in 2022. Michel brings an honest, hard-working approach to all his clients, big or small, and utilizes his decades of experience in the fish and workboat industry to help them achieve their goals. Michel services New Brunswick and the Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine region of Québec.

Dave Cotton

Dave Cotton has been actively involved with the commercial fishing industry for more than three decades – in a number of  different capacities. A native of Fox River, on Quebec’s Gaspe Peninsula, Dave is a graduate of the École des pêches et de l’aquaculture du Québec (ÉPAQ) and captained his first vessel at the age of 20. Over the years, Dave grew his fishing enterprise and was always looking for ways to modernize and make his fishing operation more efficient. This led him to start an underwater camera company that enabled fishermen to see what was going on beneath the waves.

Along with being a successful fisherman and entrepreneur, Dave is also a qualified navigation instructor, radio CRO-CM and emergency functions trainer. He still makes his home in Fox River and is excited to join the TriNav Marine Brokerage team and is happy to assist his clients to list or sell their vessel, license or enterprise.

Dan Cotton

Dan is from Riviere-au-Renard, Gaspé, Quebec. After finishing his studies at the Grande Rivière fishing school and the Quebec Maritime Institute, Dan fished cod with his father until the cod moratorium, after which he pivoted to shrimping on the lower Côte du Québec. Dan had dealings with TriNav in the past during his fishing career and was always impressed by their professionalism, so when a job opportunity with TriNav Marine Brokerage presented itself, he jumped at the chance. Dan finds pride in serving his former fishing colleagues as a TriNav representative in the Québec region.
